The Acts 1:8 Great Commission provides a tremendous blueprint for hundreds of churches and ministries to strategically serve together in John 17 unity.

After Super Storm Sandy damaged or destroyed over 10,000 homes in Staten Island, a coalition of around 40 churches established a “partnering parish model” to respond to the vast crisis. Different churches took responsibility for parish, a section of 2-3000 homes. This enabled each church to concentrate on their assigned parish, but to partner effectively whenever needed. After 6 months, nearly every home had been visited, prayed for and meaningfully served.

We were part of a Holy Flood that out-flooded the flood of destruction. The dream to Saturate NYC arose from that time of crisis.

We continue to build on the partnering parish model, but have also incorporated the Acts 1:8 Great Commission as a type of blueprint for building the New Covenant Temple. Since we are this Temple as the “Body of Christ” and “Living Stones,” it makes sense that our blueprint would be about the wise and strategic allocation of human resources.

Participating churches are strategically working in partnership with 5 to 10 churches in their zip code to adopt their neighborhoods to Pray, Build, Restore and Welcome communities, to ensure that all four quadrants of the Acts 1:8 Great Commission are reached and cared for.
